Welcome to Our New Website
Finally the time has come to replace our old website, which had become rather antiquated.
An overview of the most important changes:
For now, our new website will be available in English and German. A French version is in the works and will be available within the next few weeks.
Here you will find announcements regarding events and other things in which we are involved and/or interested.
We have brought our catalog up-to-date. It is now driven by a database, which means that easy filtering of instruments by feature is possible.
As mentioned, we are currently working on a French version. Aside from that there are quite a few minor improvements planned, in particular a comparison feature and a proper gallery for our catalog.
Since more and more people are using the internet from mobile devices, we will be making some additional optimizations for mobile browsers. The current version works on iPhones and Android devices and provides a pleasant experience in landscape viewing mode. Our efforts will be focused on also providing a pleasant user experience in portrait viewing mode.
Some remarks for the technically interested readers regarding the underlying technology driving this website:
We use a session cookie for storing language settings, no other persisting information about our users is collected by us.
Our website should function properly in all more or less modern browsers (MS Internet Explorer version 9 and newer, Firefox, Chrome/Chromium, Opera, Safari). Since Internet Explorer 8 lacks support for many of the web's niceties, the optical result is not as pretty in that browser, however functionality should not be affected.
Should you find errors (be they factual or technical in nature) or simply wish to provide some general feedback, you can contact our webmaster directly.
For general requests you can reach us at email@example.com as before, or via our newly created contact form.
We wish you a pleasant stay.
